...BREEZY WINDS AND HEAVY RAIN LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...
A STRONG...MOISTURE LADEN FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE VALLEY LATE THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT BRINGING HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WINDS. THE FRONT HAS TAPPED INTO RICH SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE WITH PRECIPITABLE WATER OF 1.75 INCHES. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.5 TO 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE BY TUESDAY MORNING.
THIS STORM WILL ALSO PRODUCE VERY BREEZY WINDS IN THE VALLEY LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. WIND SPEEDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED.
THE WINDS MAY BREAK TREE BRANCHES OR PUSH DOWN DISTRESSED TREES. LOCAL POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE. IN ADDITION...PONDING ON URBAN STREETS MAY OCCUR THIS EVENING AS WIND-BLOWN LEAVES CLOG STORM DRAINS.
